The Smartforce Student Summit aims to introduce students and teachers from elementary through post-secondary schools to the exciting, high-tech careers in manufacturing. The next generation of makers will meet the next generation of Smart Manufacturing (Industry 4.0) at the Smartforce Student Summit, September 10-15, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Students will learn the workflow through the entire manufacturing process: design, 3D printing/rapid proto-typing/additive manufacturing, machine and tool monitoring, automation, robotics, measurement, data acquisition and analytics, and the Cloud.
Teachers can register for Learning Labs and earn professional development certificates on smart manufacturing topics from NIMS. To take part in the Learning Labs, teachers may bring additional chaperones or return to the summit on another day. We suggest Saturday, September 15th.
We hope you’ll consider bringing your students, their parents, and school administrators to the Smartforce Student Summit at IMTS 2018. Their experience will certainly help them connect school with real-world challenges and may inspire them to pursue a career in advanced technology. #LetsDoThis
The event is free for all students, teachers, chaperones and bus drivers.
